Cyclone Hudhud: IAF aircraft heads for Vizag
IAF’s Boeing C-17 transport aircraft to help in the massive rescue and restoration work
Hyderabad: The Indian Air Force’s Boeing C-17 transport aircraft left Begumpet airport in Hyderabad at around 2 pm on Wednesday afternoon with two bulldozers and other equipment along with IAF personnel to help in the massive rescue and restoration work in Visakhapatnam.
The transport aircraft has a capacity for carrying very heavy machinery and is used during relief and rehabilitation works during calamities. Currently, massive relief and restoration works of roadways, airport, power lines, substations and SEZs are under way at Vishakhapatnam.
