Pawan Kalyan donated 50lakh for victims in Vizag
Many Tollywood stars have been in a tearing hurry to release press statements announcing fat donations made by them to help people of Vizag. Pawan Kalyan started this trend by giving Rs50 lakh to the cause. No sooner did his PR hit ‘send button’ that others followed suit — within minutes the press was inundated with mails from the stars’ respective PRs about their donations too.
Most actors have contributed to the tune of lakhs of rupees but director Ram Gopal Varma was not impressed. He tweeted, asking why stars, who earn in crores are willing to only part with a few lakhs! Well, Mr Varma, if you are a movie star, life is a free lunch with producers, organisers and star struck friends/people footing all your tabs. So, even parting with a few lakhs is a big deal.
Talking of donations, well, one must say it pays to have Chamundeshwarnath as a patron for badminton, because he’s very generous when it comes to rewarding badminton players. Sindhu and Kashyap were both gifted fancy cars after their respective wins.
