Vizianagaram faces huge damages

Vizianagaram: Apart from Transco, farmers and owners of kaccha houses are the main losers in the disaster caused by cyclone Hudhud.Fishermen are still staying in rehabilitation centres. They are being supplied 25 kgs of rice and one kg of sugar.
R and B engineers are busy with assessing loss. But the Transco authorities are unable to assess the loss and not in a position to restore the power and water supply as per the demand. Though the assistant engineers and other higher officials have been working more than their effort the situation is not coming under control.
More than 5,000 poles were down and around 200 transformers and substations were damaged. RTC bus depots are partly damaged in S. Kota and Vizianagaram. Around 40 teams from other districts have come to Vizianagaram to bring the situation to normal. The NDRF teams are working hard to remove the fallen trees from the roads.
