Man kills male partner
Hyderabad: A retired deputy director of the industries department killed his male sexual partner by throwing him from the third floor of a building in Bagh Lingampally near Narayanguda early on Tuesday morning.
V. Narsingh Rao, 60, had brought the victim, a young man in his early 20s, to his lawyer’s office on Monday night where a quarrel broke out between them which resulted in the murder. The victim is yet to be identified while Mr Rao has confessed to the crime, said Narayanguda police officials.
Mr Rao has been taken into custody and is being interrogated. On Monday night, Mr Rao picked up the victim from near the Taj Mahal hotel in Abids and came to his lawyer Satish Chandra’s third-floor office.
“Our patrolling team heard a scream and the sound of a body hitting the floor. When the police team and apartment residents searched, they found a naked man in a pool of blood.
They also saw the broken windowpane on the third floor. The cops went to the lawyer’s office and found a bewildered and naked Mr Rao. A 108 ambulance was called and the victim was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead,” said Narayanguda police inspector S. Bheem Reddy.
As the quarrel broke out between the duo, Mr Rao, who is well-built, pushed the victim in a fit of rage so hard that the window shattered and he fell.
Taking the circumstantial evidences into consideration, the police concluded that the chances of falling accidentally through the window was impossible. Later, Mr Rao confessed to having pushed the victim following a quarrel between them.
“We suspect that he fought with the victim as he was not ‘satisfied’. There could be some other reasons, which we are exploring now,” said the inspector.
According to the police, Mr Rao, who is married with two children, has identified himself as a bisexual, and had been having an affair with the victim for the last few weeks. He has also confessed to having sexual relationships with other men.
Police said that the victim, who was a homosexual, had been seen with Mr Rao a few days ago. “The building’s security guard said that he had seen both them a couple of times coming to the lawyer’s office in the last few weeks,” said Mr Bheem Reddy.
Efforts to ascertain the victim’s identity is on, the cops said. Mr Rao is a resident of Hastinapuram, and was living with his family after he retired four years ago.
Police has booked a case of murder against him under IPC Section 302 along with Section 377 for engaging in unnatural sex.
