It’s Ramdas’ voice on tape, confirms Forensic Laboratory
Bengaluru: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials, who are probing the case in which former minister and BJP leader S A Ramdas has been accused of cheating and harassing Premakumari, are all set to submit the final report to the court in a few days.
A senior police officer in the CID said, on condition of anonymity, that the investigation was almost complete. “We have received all related reports from various agencies, such as medical and forensic reports, in the case. We are also done with questioning all the persons related to the case. We are preparing the final report and it would be submitted to the court in a few days.”
The officer also said the Forensic Science Laboratory experts have submitted a report stating that the voice in the audio and video clips provided by Premakumari matched completely with Ramdas’s voice. “Reports confirmed Ramdas’s voice in the tapes provided by the complainant. We are mentioning the same in the final report, which will also be submitted to the government,” he added.
It may be recalled that Premakumari, in January, had accused Ramdas of sexually harassing her and cheating her by promising to marry her. Following her accusation, Ramdas had tried to commit suicide. The woman, an employee with the revenue department, had filed a complaint in a Mysore police station and the Mysore city police commissioner had submitted a detailed report about the case.
