Rupee up by 13 paise against dollar in early trade
Rupee is trading at 60.97 and Sensex is up by 123.18 points
Mumbai: The rupee gained 13 paise to 60.97 against the dollar in early trade today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on increased selling of the US currency amid a higher opening in the domestic equity market.
On Monday, the rupee rose by 25 paise to end at 61.10 against the greenback on fresh selling of dollars by exporters and banks, in line with other Asian currencies helped by upbeat trade data from china.
Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex rose 123.18 points, or 0.47 per cent, to 26,507.25 in early trade on Tuesday.
