Sharp’s AQUOS Crystal is an all-screen masterpiece smartphone

Sharp, a well-known manufacturer of digital equipment, has launched a unique smartphone, which features an all-screen device with miniscule edges.

Meet the Sharp AQUOS Crystal, a uniquely designed CDMA Android smartphone, which boasts of an all-screen front design. The uniquely designed smartphone has very thin edges with an edge-less design around the display, sports the front camera on the bottom, giving it a sophisticated look.

The AQUOS Crystal is powered by Android KitKat 4.4.2, speaks of a 5-inch HD LCD display and runs off a Qualcomm MSM8926 Snapdragon 400 chipset with a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, an Adreno 305 graphics chip and 1.5GB of RAM. The internal storage is 8GB and the rear camera is an 8MP with a 1.2MP camera on the front. Weighing around 141 grams and sporting a 10mm slim body, the AQUOS also features LTE. It is powered by a 2040 mAh battery offering approximately 13 hours of talk time.

The AQUOS also boasts of high fidelity audio by incorporating Harman/Kardon LiveStage and Clari-Fi technologies for superior audio pleasure.

Looking at the unique design, it seems like the smartphone has the earpiece on the bottom instead of the top as seen on usual smartphones out there. It means, you would have to handle the smartphone upside down in order to receive a call. However, the conveniently placed front camera makes for a better viewing.

The Sharp AQUOS Crystal is exclusively available on Sprint and the price for approximately $240 (Rs 15,000).
