Telangana State takes responsibility of ailing poet Guda Anjaiah

Mr Rao promised the poet that the state government will bear all medical expenses
Hyderabad: The Telangana State government came to the rescue of veteran Telangana poet Guda Anjaiah, who is suffering from paralysis, and promised to bear all his medical expenses.
Minister T. Harish Rao on Sunday went to Mr Anjaiah’s residence and handed over Rs one lakh from the TRS party fund to meet his immediate expenses. Mr Rao also promised the poet that the state government will bear all medical expenses as it has introduced a policy to help ailing Telangana poets, artists and singers.
Expressing happiness over the gesture, Mr Anjaiah, the composer of Vooru Manadira, said he had written many songs for Telangana over the years and would continue to write more for ‘Golden Telangana’.
