We all know Sonu Sood’s big ticket to fame was his larger-than-life anti-hero act in Dabangg. His role as Cheti Singh had firmly established Sonu’s career in Hindi films. He went on to do many more memorable roles but it won’t be wrong to say that he owes his “star” status to the Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg. But now, Sonu seems to have moved on from that camp and joined Salman’s archrival Shah Rukh Khan’s camp with Happy New Year.
In a recent conversation with a scribe, Sonu revealed that he needed to do an SRK film to touch superstardom. After the huge break that Salman gave him in his home-production, Sonu’s words came as a shocker to that camp. Also his relations with Salman’s camp extend beyond cinema, as he is also part of Khan’s CCL team. “Sonu is a permanent celebrity player in CCL. But Salman’s equation with Sonu changed after he was unavailable for a few events that were hosted by the Khan brothers. He is also not seen in his films any more,” reveals a source.
Looks like Sonu will have to now choose which Khan he would like to remain loyal too.
