'Bang Bang' crosses 150 crores in India
The film's total worldwide collection has soared to 290.97 crores gross
Mumbai: Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif's ‘Bang Bang’ is truly unstoppable. The film made an impressive second weekend collection as it raked in close to 20 crore. Riding on the positive word-of-mouth as the biggest action-adventure film produced by Bollywood, ‘Bang Bang’ collected 4.9 crore on Friday, 6.3 crore on Saturday and 8.03 crore on Sunday, thereby recording 19.23 crore second weekend (27.47 crore gross).
The weekend saw the Siddharth Anand directorial fly past the 150 crore mark in India as the collection stands at 154.68 crore nett (approx 221 crore gross).
Trade is delighted with the second weekend collections of ‘Bang Bang’. With no big films releasing for the next 10 days, they feel ‘Bang Bang’ will keep the cash counters ringing.

In the overseas, ‘Bang Bang’ collected $11.3 million (70 crore) in just 11 days. It beat the lifetime collections of ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘EK Tha Tiger’ in overseas markets in the process. This is the highest GBO of 2014 so far. In the Middle East, ‘Bang Bang’ has raced past ‘My Name is Khan’'s lifetime collection.
This is the 7th highest international GBO of all time ever for a Bollywood film and ‘Bang Bang’ has achieved it in its second weekend collections!
The key markets performance is as follows:
Middle East – ‘Bang Bang’ has done a GBO of $4.6 million which is the second highest GBO lifetime record after ‘Dhoom 3’ ($6 million) beating MNIK ($4.45 million). This is the number 1 GBO performance this year and the highest ever for a Hrithik Roshan film. The film is on its way to crossing $5 million in this market.
UK – ‘Bang Bang’ has done a GBO of $1.66 million – which is the second highest this year. It has already crossed all Hrithik films' collection in the UK.
USA – the film has done a GBO of $2.2 million – this is the highest grosser of 2014 beating ‘Kick’ ($2 million).
Australia - $392,000 – second highest of 2014
New Zealand - $144,000 – highest of this year.
Pakistan - $706,000 – the second highest this year.
