Modi urges voters to free Haryana of dynastic elements, promises development
Sirsa: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday asked the electorate to free Haryana of the dynastic elements and sought a clear mandate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming state assembly elections.
Targeting the Congress and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), Prime Minister Modi said, "I have seen Haryana's politics for the last 15 years. It has been controlled by five families. These families appear to oppose each other but behind the curtains they are friends. They have been ruling the state in turns."
"We have to save Haryana from vicious circle of corruption and family politics or not?" he asked.
Prime Minister Modi, who was addressing a rally in Sirsa further said, "If you want to free Haryana from dynastic rule, caste based politics and bad governance then vote for the BJP, which is a democratic party."
"I want to assure you, if you help BJP form its Government with clear majority, the development which didn't take place in 50 years will be done," he added.
Reaching out to the middle-class and members of the farming community, Prime Minister Modi promised to create a new model of state development for Haryana if BJP comes to power in the state.
"We have emphasized on skill development to give better opportunities to the youth so that the state can progress," said Prime Minister Modi
"A farmer has the power to extract gold out of the land if he has water," he added.
The election for 90-member Haryana Assembly is scheduled to take place on October 15 while the counting of votes will be held on October 19.
