A new portable charger claims that you can fully charge a smartphone in just five minutes. The charger will be soon available on the shelves.
Meet Pronto, the fast-charge battery, which is presently at the end stage of a KickStarter crowd sourcing project.
The new portable battery claims that the battery pack can fully charge an iPhone 5 in just five minutes and can fully charge up to 9 devices within an hour.
Pronto (Promtus - Latin) means quick, like LIGHTNING QUICK, and the developers claim that the battery packs lives up to the name.
Pronto will be available in two models — Pronto 5 and Pronto 12. Pronto 5 is a 4500 mAh battery pack while the Pronto 12 is a 13,500 mAh battery.
Both feature an aluminium case, a nylon versatile strap, a protective cap and custom LED indicators to show how face the devices and the Pronto are charging.
Prontos are equipped with USB 2.0 ports (one on the Pronto 5 and two on the Pronto 12) with a power rating of 2.4 amps each. The Pronto 12 additionally has a 12V port to charge larger devices such as cameras, laptops, etc. the 12V port is supplied with an additional 12V car charger socket for different devices.
The Prontos can charge itself within one hour, using their power adapters.
The Pronto 5 is available for around $69 while the Pronto 12 is available for $109.
