Sunanda Pushkar death: Report says she was poisoned

Earlier it was stated that she died of an overdose of Alprax medicine
New Delhi: A fresh forensic report of Sunanda Pushkar’s viscera has purportedly indicated poisoning as the cause of death of former Union minister and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor’s wife.
The final report, reportedly submitted to the SHO of Sarojni Nagar police station on September 30, has stated that the cause of her death was “poisoning”, and not due to an overdose of Alprax medicine.
The report, prepared on September 27 by the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, AIIMS, also states that Pushkar was “healthy” and had no indication of any “disease in heart, kidney, liver or lung”.
It also purportedly states that Pushkar was “not suffering” from lupus, a disease or conditions marked by inflammation of the skin.
AIIMS spokesperson Amit Gupta, however, denied submitting any report to the police. “We haven’t submitted any report. It may have been submitted by CFSL to the police directly,” he said.
