Robert Vadra issue: PM’s apology sought by Congress
BJP charged the Haryana government with speaking in two voices
New Delhi: As the Congress sought an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving “very irresponsible statement” against Bhupender Singh Hooda government over the Robert Vadra land deal, the Bharatiya Janata Party said full facts were not presented before the Election Commission.
The BJP had petitioned the EC alleging that there was violation of the model code of conduct by the Haryana government in clearing the land deal between Mr Vadra and real estate firm DLF, which was rejected by the poll body Wednesday.
The Haryana government’s validation of the mutation of the land sold by a company owned by Mr Vadra to the real estate firm has sparked a row in the run-up to the Assembly polls in the state. The BJP charged the Haryana government with “speaking in two voices” and hiding full facts.
