Jayalalithaa doesn’t want to meet visitors: Official
Special court in Bengaluru had convicted Jayalalithaa in Rs 66-crore disproportionate assets case
BENGALURU: Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK leader J. Jayalalithaa is okay and her health is routinely being evaluated by prison doctors and nurses, said a prison officer. “She doesn’t like to be disturbed. Last week her party people and cabinet colleagues came to meet her in the prison, but she has refused to meet anyone and now there are no visitors,” he added.
On September 27 a special court in Bengaluru had convicted Ms Jayalalithaa and her three close associates, including her foster son V.N. Sudhakaran, in the Rs 66-crore disproportionate assets case. She was arrested and lodged in judicial custody in Central Prison at Parapanna Agrahara the same day in cell number 23 .along with her associates..
