Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor is known to have serenaded and eventually parted ways with several Bollywood beauties such as Kareena Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri, Bipasha Basu and Sonakshi Sinha. The actor, however, insists that he has been a good boyfriend in all his relationships.
“Normally, it’s the girl who decides if the man in the relationship is good or bad. But the only reason I feel that I’ve been good to the women in my life is because of my upbringing,” he says.
Shahid goes on to add that irrespective of the duration of his relationships, he has always tried his best to be there for the women in his life. “I think I’m a very dependable person. So the people around me know that I’ll be there for them, come what may,” says the actor.
Among his former girlfriends, his breakup with Kareena was the most talked-about. He says that from his end he has always been cordial with her, until she was the one who decided that they could not remain even friends.
“Be it males or females, I’ve tried my best to maintain my equation with everyone. Yes, lack of time and scattered schedules do play havoc. But the idea is to be loyal to my close ones,” he says.
