Concentrate on Pakistan not Maharashtra says Shiv Sena to PM Modi

Pakistani forces were killing Indian citizens

Mumbai: Shiv Sena targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday for inadequate response to Pakistan.

The party has said that even while Pakistani forces were killing Indian citizens, the PM had been keeping busy campaigning for the Assembly polls in Maharashtra.

“The present government has given a shock treatment (to Pakistan) by refusing to hold any secretary-level talks until the firing at the border is completely stopped. But that is not enough. Last month, the Centre had said that it would answer a bullet with a bullet. When is it going to be implemented? Unless it is done, Pakistan will continue its nefarious activities at the border,” an editorial published in Sena mouthpiece Saamana said.

The editorial also said that Mr Modi should be in Delhi to deal with the situation at border, but the state BJP leaders have kept him busy campaigning.

The Shiv Sena has also taken a jibe at the PM’s now-famous “56-inch chest” remark made during the Lok Sabha elections.
