Farmers of Vempalli in Kagaznagar staged protest against delay in reinstallation of power transformer
Adilabad: Farmers of Vempalli in Kagaznagar town in Adilabad district, on Wednesday, staged a dharna in front of the divisional office of the Transco in protest against the delay in reinstallation of power transformer which got damaged 20 days ago.
The farmers complained that officials concerned have failed to install the transformer even after repeated appeals by them and said that standing crops in their fields were getting withered due to lack of power supply. They rued that they had already incurred heavy loss due to the existing drought conditions in the district and wanted the officials to take action at the earliest possible.
