NIZAMABAD: In the backdrop of severe power crises, the Opposition Congress has decided to extend their support to the farming community. As part of this, the party leaders will visit the agriculture fields in Nizamabad district on October 9.
Under the banner of the Rythu Bharosa Yatra, the Congress leaders will reach Nizamabad district on Thursday. Under the aegis of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, party bigwigs, including its chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah, will visit Bhiknoor and Domakonda mandals in the district. They will visit paddy, and maize fields to take firsthand information regarding crop losses that the farmers are suffering.
TPCC coordination committee members K. Jana Reddy, D. Srinivas, Mohammad Ali Shabbir and other leaders will visit agriculture fields and interact with the farmers in two mandals. In view of the Congress leaders’ visit, the district leadership has made all required arrangements on Wednesday.
