Police recovered 430 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 13 lakh

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police has busted an interstate burglary gang by arresting four West Bengal natives. The gang had been targeting houses on the city’s outskirts during holidays since some few months. Police recovered 430 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 13 lakh from the culprits. The gang was involved in seven house burglaries so far.

The burglars were identified as Rathan Saaha, 38, Haridas Baroui, 30, Rakesh Thakur, 30, Mangal Byadh, 26, all of them from the Nadia district of West Bengal. They were living in Yellareddy Guda of Kesara and used to work as labourers and also used to sell tea.

Police said that the gang came to Hyderabad two years ago, but their earnings were not enough and so they started house burglaries last year. The modus operandi of the gang is to enter houses after removing window grills using screw drivers.

Cops said Mangal and Rakesh were involved in cases in Delhi and UP.
