Will Samantha break the jinx?

Mumbai: Samantha made her debut with the Telugu film Yeh Maya Chesave and became an overnight sensation in T’town. Since then, she has enjoyed a successful run in Tollywood. But, of late, the actress has been concentrating on Tamil films also and has signed several films one after the other.

Last month, her film Sikander/Anjaan with Suriya didn’t do well and now she has pinned her hopes on Kathi opposite Kollywood star Vijay. Though Samantha is a well-known name in Kollywood, she hasn’t had a success at the box office there yet.

According to a source, the actress has played a deglamourised character in this film. Murugadoss, one of the finest directors of Tamil cinema, has directed this action entertainer which is releasing in Tamil and Telugu during Diwali.
