Vijayawada: AP irrigation minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said that the government would supply 20 liters of water for only Rs 2 under NTR Sujala Sravanti scheme. The scheme would be implemented in three divisions in each segment in Vijayawada city, he added.
Participating in a Janmaboomi programme at Patamata here on Tuesday, Mr Umamaheswara Rao said that the government would provide pensions to all eligible poor people in the city. He said that beneficiaries would be selected in Janmaboomi meetings.
Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan, local corporator Jasti Sambasiva Rao and several officials were also present.
MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and commissioner Harikiran took part in Janmaboomi at Sriramanagar.
