Meet the man who was treated for 17 hour erection
The 23-year-old was suffering from priapism, a rare condition
Melbourne: A man was recently hospitalized and successfully treated after suffering from 17 hour erection, it has been reported.
According to the Sun, Jason Garnett, the hotel worker from the spa town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, UK, said he woke up with "morning glory" after having sex with a friend, News.com.au reported.
The 23-year-old was suffering from priapism, a rare condition that is not caused by sexual desire or sexual stimulation and if untreated, it could permanently damage the penis.
Doctors drained more than 1.1 litres (two pints) of blood from his manhood and injected his penis 24 times with medication to try to restrict blood flow.
After 17 hours Garnett's erection was gone and he said everything was normal.
