"A film like 'Mohenjo Daro' has never been made"

Fresh from the success of 'Bang Bang', Hrithik Roshan is looking forward to his next project with Ashutosh Gowarikar

Mumbai: After the huge success of 'Bang Bang', Hrithik Roshan has fully immersed himself in his next project, 'Mohenjo Daro'.

With 'Bang Bang' crossing Rs 200 core in a couple of days, a confident Hrithik says, “Yes! I am number one… I do not know how to define the number game. It depends what kind of number game you are talking about. I believe everyone’s journey depends on how hard they work to achieve their goals. When we feel that we have done our best…then I suppose we all become number one.”

When a filmmaker signs on the actor, they are more concerned about showing his body than the female lead’s. And Hrithik doesn’t have a problem with it. “If they want to use every part of my body, I will allow them to do so. I feel no pressure to improve my fitness levels to give my best. They can use every part of my body to entertain and give something to my fans. I know my fans are always waiting to see me do something great for them and I would be happy to oblige.”

About the period film 'Mohenjo Daro', Hrithik excitedly says, “I have done a couple of films earlier too which had drama, thrill and entertainment value. But'Mohenjo Daro' is not that kind of a film. It is based on an authentic story by director Ashutosh Gowarikar. This is a journey of a hero, a beautiful love story and also gives us a sneak peak into the Indus Valley Civilization. The story will also depict how beautiful the history of Indus Valley is. Such films have never been made in Hollywood or Bollywood. I am looking forward to begin shooting soon.”

“I think we will begin the shoot in November. We wont be shooting in a studio. Our first shooting stint will be in Bhuj. It’s a lovely location.”

With the success of his films outside his home production, Hrithik has got an extra fillip these days. I am sure critics will agree that when I worked with my father Rakesh Roshan the films were successful. I have now brought success while working with outside banners too. My father has not got success without me in his films. Ab mein aur kya kahoon? (what more do I have to say?)”

“But I will definitely be doing a film with dad. But right now 'Mohenjo Daro' needs most of my dates. We will plan a film at a later stage. I am sure dad will keep making films until he is 120 years old,” smiles the star.
