KTR asks Telugu Desam leaders to dump Naidu, join TRS
Hyderabad: Steeping up the attack on the Telugu Desam and the Congress, minister for IT and panchayat raj K.T. Rama Rao on Monday asked Telangana TD leaders to dump Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and join the TRS if they are committed to the development of Telangana state.
He also demanded that the Congress leaders apologise to farmers and rub their nose to the ground in Hyderabad before leaving on a state tour to ascertain the situation of farm sector since they were to be blamed for the farmers’ woes.
“Having lost power and in a state of depression, the Congress leaders are talking irresponsibly. The Congress was like shani to the state. The Congress leaders are to be blamed for the present power crisis in Telangana.
Is Congress not responsible for the present power crisis since they ruled the state for 40 years? Farmers should question the Congress leaders when they come to them,” he said.
Mr Rama Rao also blamed Telugu Desam chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the present power crisis. “Telugu Desam is a gone case in Telangana.
Though Telangana achieved freedom, some Telangana Telugu Desam leaders are continue to live as slaves in the TD under Mr Naidu. Telangana people will not accept Andhra hegemony. My advice to them is to quit TD and join TRS and support the new government,” Mr Rama Rao said.
Blaming previous Congress and Telugu Desam governments for the present power crisis, he alleged Naidu was deliberately trying to push Telangana into darkness through various means and depriving it of its share of power from power plants located in Andhra Pradesh "Naidu is responsible for the present power woes of Telangana.
Why did both the governments fail to increase power generation by installing new units? When the State has abundant coal reserves, why were units established in Andhra and Rayalaseema," he asked.
Stating it's a case of a thief calling a thief and a murderer paying condolence at the victim's body, the IT Minister asked people to grill Telugu Desam and Congress leaders when they come to them.
