Mumbai: Karan Johar, Pooja Shetty and Aarti Shetty have come together to show the world on big screen, the life of legendary hockey player, Dhyan Chand. Films on sportsmen is a difficult challenge the trio has readily accepted.
Dhyan Chand is a hockey legend who represented India against various countries. He had unmatched dribble skills and has scored more than 400 goals, making India an unbeatable team during the late 1930s.
Head honcho of Dharma Productions, Karan Johar announced his film on twitter, saying, “My friends Pooja...Aarti Shetty and I are honoured and proud to have the rights to tell the story of the legendary sportsman #DHYANCHAND...”
The announcement of the cast and director will be made soon. According to reports the script will be written by Agneepath writer Ila Bedi Dutta and they have already approached Ranbir Kapoor to play the title role.
Aarti and Pooja are daughters of Manmohan Shetty and together they run a production house, Walkwater Media Ltd.
