Bengaluru: In an attempt to keep the tempo of ‘Swachha bharat abhiyan’ alive, the Forward Foundation, in association with the BJP, partnered and launched an android-based application — ‘Swachh Bharat’ or “litter spot marker” and a portal www.sbsb.co.in.
The app can be downloaded free and used by smart phone users to eliminate black spots. The initiative works in three phases, said Neethu Peter, co-ordinator.
The first phase of the project focuses on identifying, photographing and eliminating litter spots. In the second phase, the portal will feature collection-related information of West Zone and citizens will be able to view information specific to their areas.
The portal is not a complaint redressal forum; instead it focuses on engaging citizens meaningfully.
