Telangana to fill up over 4,000 nominated posts soon

Nominated posts promised to dedicated party workers

Hyderabad: TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao promised party activists that he will nominate them to various non-official posts of government bodies. Speaking at the party office in Telangana Bhavan on Sunday afternoon, the CM said the TRS was the only party that did not enjoy power politics and the cadre did not get an opportunity for postings in the past 13 years of the party’s existance.

“We may have roughly 4,000 non-official posts vacant in various government bodies, temple and market committees. I assure you that I will fill them with dedicated party activists who worked for the Telangana movement these years,” Mr Rao said.

He said the first plenary session of the TRS will be held on October 11 and 12 in the city. “First day we will have it in LB Stadium and the next day the public meeting will be held at Parade Grounds. The plenary session will guide the government on all issues,” he added.

He also emphasised the need to build some more halls and buildings in the Telangana Bhavan to train all the party activists. Mr Rao mentioned ‘TD office’ by mistake instead of TRS, but corrected himself after a few party leaders pointed it out to him.

In a related development, few party leaders in the meeting have asked Mr Rao to focus on Backward Class Welfare too as an impression was created that TRS government is only looking after the welfare of SCs, STs and minority communities more, for which KCR assured them to look into the aspect.
