Chandrababu Naidu wants more land under cultivation
Govt wants 1 lakh acres to build capital city with 25,000 acres in each phase
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has launched a search for unutilised state land owned in the 13 districts.
The move is aimed at taking up agriculture in such land in lieu of high-yield potential agricultural lands to be taken over for the construction of the capital city in the VGTMUDA jurisdiction.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wants more land to be brought under cultivation than the extent of land that would be taken either through land pooling or acquisition process to construct capital city.
The government wants 1 lakh acres to build its capital city with 25,000 acres to be taken in each phase.
