BJP will show progress in 5 years, says Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu
Nobody has the right to criticise Swachh Bharat, says Venkaiah Naidu
Tirupati: Union minister for urban development M. Venkaiah Naidu lashed out at AICC president Sonia Gandhi for her remarks on the BJP-led government and said none has the right to criticise neither the Prime Minister nor the BJP-led government at the Centre.
The Union minister, who took part as the chief guest at a book release programme at the Senate Hall in Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati on Sunday, observed that while the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was moving ahead to address several challenges faced by the nation owing to the decades-long misrule by the Congress-led government at the Centre by finding practical solutions, opposition parties were raising an unnecessary hue and cry by criticising the BJP government.
While the entire country was applauding the novel Swachh Bharat which has taken the shape of a mass movement to ensure a ‘Clean India’, the Congress is trying to negate the impact with its criticism which would not at all materialise, noted Mr Naidu.
Mr Naidu stepped up the ante against the Congress and said while the much publicised development during the Congress rule in the country was more on the personal front, the Central minister said that the BJP led government was focussing on ‘real and comprehensive’ development of the country.
Mr Venkaiah Naidu reiterated that the BJP-led government would ensure rapid progress of the nation and challenged that the BJP government would ensure development on such a scale in a span of just five years, something that was not possible during the decades-long Congress rule.
