Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visits office for good omen

Astrologers said that Naidu presence in office will avoid ill effects of Dwitiya Vighnam

Hyderabad: Despite his busy schedule in East Godavari district during the Janmabhoomi programme, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu took time to come to his new chambers in the Secretariat for the second consecutive day on Saturday.

Mr Naidu had a brief stay at his office on the eighth floor of the ‘L’ block and had a meeting with intelligence officers, before leaving for East Godavari district.

Astrologers said that his presence in the office for the second day was mandatory to avoid ill effects of Dwitiya Vighnam. “His visit for the second day in a row to his office will augur well for him in the future. Had he not attended to his office on the second day, he would have faced lot of hurdles in every programme he would take up,” popular astrologer J.U.B. Sastry said.

Meanwhile, sources told this correspondent that besides the Special and principal secretaries to the Chief Minister and Advisor (communications) Mr Parakala Prabhakar, Abhista has also been allotted an office room on the “restricted and high security zone of eighth floor.” Abhista is a closew aide of Nara Lokesh and is presently OSD in AP CMO.

Earlier on Friday, on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dasami, Naidu formally stepped into his official chamber on the 8th floor of L Block in the AP Secretariat amid vedic chants. For the past four months, Naidu had been operating from a temporary "camp office" in the Lake View Guest House located on Raj Bhavan road.

Though originally the south H block in the Secretariat was readied for the CM's office, it was rejected by Naidu following advise by his astrologers that vaasthu of that building would not suit his stars. Subsequently, the 8th floor of the L Block was chosen for his office and accordingly all necessary modifications had been carried out at a cost of over Rs 20 crore.

A spacious chamber for the CM with bullet-proofing besides a conference hall, a meeting hall for the Cabinet, visitors' lounge and chambers of his principal secretaries and secretaries were built on the 8th floor.

A new chamber for the state Chief Secretary was built on the 7th floor in the same block. All this will only be a temporary arrangement till the AP Secretariat is constructed in the state's new capital Vijayawada. It will, however, happen only three years later.
