Mumbai: Back from a sabbatical, Sajid Khan is gearing up to start work on his next, a rom-com.
After the disastrous fate of Humshakals, the filmmaker went underground.
But seems like he’s ready to put that behind him and get back in action.
Sources tell us that Sajid has finished the script of the romantic comedy and is ready to pitch it to a few A-list actors.
“I’ve just finished writing the screenplay of my film with Akarsh Khurana, and Hussain Dalal has started writing the dialogues. It’s going to be an out-and-out comedy-cum-action-cum-romance entertainer. It will go on the floors early next year,” Sajid says.
After the fate of Humshakals, a lot of top actors are apprehensive about teaming up with Sajid.
In that case, would he settle for a newcomer?
“I’ve also been associated with many hit films. Two flops don’t define my caliber as a filmmaker. I don’t look down upon working with newcomers but right now, my script requires a top actor for the lead role. After I’m done with the script, I will start pitching it to the stars,” Sajid says.
