India pick Kuldeep Yadav for first three ODIs against West Indies, Ashwin rested

Mumbai: The Indian selectors on Saturday announced India's 14-man squad for the first three ODIs against West Indies.

Sandeep Pail-led BCCI selection panel picked India's only chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav in the squad. The youngster who is yet to make his first class debut, shot to fame via his impressive performances in the Under-19 World Cup. Amit Mishra too received a comeback call.

Meanwhile, R.Ashwin was given a rest for the first three ODIs of the series. Karn Sharma who was part of India's ODIs and T20 squad in England was dropped. Sanju Samson is the other notable exclusion from the squad that played in England.

Murali Vijay replaced injured Rohit Sharma for the first three ODIs against West Indies.

MS Dhoni (captain & wicketkeeper), Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Amit Mishra, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, M Vijay, Kuldeep Yadav.
