Will bring back glory to Andhra Pradesh: Nara Lokesh
Tirupati: Mr Nara Lokesh, the son of Chief Minister Naidu has said that the TD-led government will bring back the glory of AP without compromising welfare schemes. Mr Lokesh arrived to a tumultuous welcome at Kuppam on Thursday, a constituency represented by his father N. Chandrababu Naidu and paid respects to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary and his grandfather and former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao. Later the Mr Lokesh took part in the launch of the government’s flagship programmes like Janmabhoomi Maa Vuru, NTR Sujala Sravanthi, NTR Bharosa pension scheme and Clean Andhra Pradesh. Lokesh who addressed a meeting at Kuppam, said that the TD-led government was committed to all the promises it made during the 2014 elections.
Mr Lokesh said that the government had initiated a series of measures to bring the state on to the path of development without compromising on welfare schemes.
Pointing out that though the state is facing problems due to the 10-year misrule of the Congress-led government and hurdles arising out of bifurcation. Lokesh said that AP would turn into one of the fast developing states in the country in the next five years.
Meanwhile, Lokesh distributed pensions under the NTR Bharosa scheme and smart cards under the NTR Sujala sravanthi scheme to beneficiaries. Chittoor MP N. Siva Prasad and other TD leaders took part in the tour of Lokesh.
