New Delhi: Ministers with broom forgetting rivalry

Railway Minister: D.V. Sadananda Gowda broomed a foot overbridge, a platform and a car parking slot at New Delhi railway station to Swacch Bharat.
Gujarat CM: Anandiben Patel cleaned the garbage on a street in Porbandar. She also posted a picture showing her cleaning the street on Twitter.
Some unidentified: miscreants vandalised the venue of launch of ‘Swachh Bharat’ in Jammu forcing authorities to cancel it.
Former PM: H.D. Deve Gowda swept the Hassan railway station in response to Mr Modi’s call for a cleanliness drive. He cleaned the roof of the railway station and then the floor, sweeping for a distance of 50 metres. He also distributed pamphlets to passengers at the station asking them to get involved in the drive and keep their surroundings clean.
Kerala CM: Oommen Chandy tore off a flex banner displaying his own picture while launching the cleanliness campaign. Kerala also launched a month-long sanitation-cum-awareness campaign.
AAP chief: Arvind Kejriwal cleaned a choked drain at BR Camp in New Delhi and also had breakfast with the safai karamcharis (sweeping staff) and families of the area after cleaning the drain with workers.
