Village data to be collected using Janmabhumi scheme

Guntur: The AP government like the Telangana government is collecting village and mandal wise data under the micro planning system using the Janmabhumi-Ma Ooru programme.

The officials will make a report on population, public difficulties and available resources of every village/hamlet to the government under the Janmabhumi programme.

The data collection of the Telangana government via the one-day survey gave good results and hence the AP government asked the officials to give the details of villages with available resources and further action plans for the development of rural areas using the micro planning data. Besides conducting Grama Sabhas in the villages, revenue officials have to submit details of the population, available water resources, data of beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes, cultivation land, farming activities, and various types of loans, power consumption.

Revenue officials will conduct meetings with self help groups, farmers, pensioners and other groups to know their difficulties and would forward it to higher officials.

Tulluru Mandal tahsildar M. Venkateswara Rao said that rallies were conducted on the first day on Thursday and Grama Sabhas would be conducted in all villages from October 4 after the Dasara festival. He said that according to the orders of the government, revenue officials are going to send details of all resources of villages/hamlets.

Collector Kantilal Dande said that Grama Sabhas would be held in all villages of the Guntur district till October 23.
