Mumbai: Actor-turned-politican Paresh Rawal enthralled everyone with his first production release, ‘OMG! Oh My God’. After which his second venture was reported, a biopic on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The actor was set to play the Prime Minister of India, and now the news has been confirmed, according to a report in a leading daily. NaMo was delighted on hearing the news about the biopic, and gave Rawal the ‘okay’ right away.
The Rawal-Modi friendship goes back a long way. It’s also a known fact that Rawal campaigned for him, during the Gujarat elections.
Mitesh Kumar Patel, an NRI of Gujarati origin, first floated the idea of making a biopic. He was very fascinated by Modi’s story. His journey from a common man to the chief minister of Gujarat, and now prime minister of the country, is not known by all and this is the foundation of the story.
The project is most likely to go on floors next year in February or March. The official announcement will be out soon.
