Hyderabad: Cases were booked against the agitators by the police in all the 10 districts of the undivided state. There is one or more, at times even dozens of cases, against students, youth and others. A large number of these pertain to dharna, picketing, rasta roko, rioting etc.
Over 4,000 cases were registered against the Telanana agitators in different police stations in Telangana, including Hyderabad. Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy’s government had withdrawn 1,200 cases when P. Sabita Indra Reddy was home minister.
Meanwhile, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao has convened a joint meeting of TRS Parliamentary Party, Legislature party, state committee and politburo at Telangana Bhavan on October 5 to discuss and decide on the venue and date of TRS’ first plenary after forming the government, the GHMC elections, strengthening the party from the grass root level, propagation of government programmes and policies etc.
