Puri Jagannath, Film maker: I am not taking a holiday for this year’s festival. I am shooting for my upcoming film with NTR Jr and I want to complete the shooting as early as possible. We have already announced the date as January 9 and so we decided to work even on Dasara. My wife prepares special dishes at home and she will send them to the location spot. I like pulihora and I asked my wife to make it for me. It’s a full working day for me and I am celebrating the festival on the sets along with other members.
Manchu Lakshmi, Actress: We are all celebrating this Dasara at my father’s (Mohan Babu) new house. During Navratri, everyday, I call my daughter by a different name of the Goddess. My family, along with my brother’s family, gathers at my father’s house for the festival. My mom prepares all the dishes and there are also some special dishes for Dasara. I have shopped for my daughter and have prepared her for the festival. We also do regular puja of all our vehicles.
Nithiin, Actor: I am shooting for my film in Switzerland. So, I am going to miss all festivities and family members this Dasara. We are planning to release the film on December 19, 2014, so over the last few weeks we have been working hard in Europe. I am now shooting for a song and will be back in India on October 4. We are planning a special puja on the sets and will be celebrating it with a lot of sweets.
Rakul Preet Singh, Actress: Currently I am shooting for my Hindi film in Shimla. On Dasara, there will be a puja on the sets. This year’s festival is special as I am getting good reviews on my film Loukyam. Another film that I am working on is also releasing this month and so it’s all going to be very exciting for me. So, on this auspicious occasion, I pray for the success of my other film too.
Ram Charan, Actor: I am working this Dasara. We have decided to add one more song to my new film Govindudu Andari Vaadele after the release. So we are keen to complete the song and have decided to work without taking a break. Though I wanted to go to the US for the premiere of my film, I couldn’t go because there’s no time. So I am celebrating the festival on the sets.
