Four children rescued from recycling unit by Bosco child helpline
Rescued boys, all were brought from Bihar on pretext of lucrative salary of Rs 3,000
Bengaluru: Four children were rescued from a recycling unit by Bosco child helpline in association with the Rajarajeshwari Nagar police. The children were reportedly working under inhuman conditions for the past four months. The rescued boys, all said to be aged between 12 and 14 years, were brought from Navadha district in Bihar on the pretext of lucrative salary of Rs 3,000 per month.
According to one of the child helpline coordinators, the children were living in a shed in the unit which is spread on over an acre in Javaregowdanadoddi in Rajarajeshwari Nagar and were made to cut huge bundles of chemical plastic sheets into pieces. The children were made to work for 14 hours a day and were made to live in inhuman conditions.
