Telanganites living abroad to also celebrate the festival she said

Nizamabad: Nizamabad MP and Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha iterated that she would strive to make Bathukamma festival known to the whole world. Bathukmma is the tradition of Telangana women. She said she would try to persuade Telanganites living abroad to also celebrate the festival in their places, thus, helping the festival go global.
She took part in the maiden official programme of Bangaru Bathukamma held at the district sports authority mini stadium here on Monday. Hundreds of women from the city and around Nizamabad took part in the celebrations. The MP prepared Bathukamma idol at her in-law’s house and led the procession.
