'Haider' leaves Hansal Mehta awestruck, pens open letter

Bollywood sings praises for 'Haider'
Mumbai: ‘Haider’ has already begun winning hearts, and not only of Bollywood counterparts, but also of the authors across the globe. British historian and author William Dalrymple took to twitter to shower praises on the modern day adaptation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet. Renowned filmmakers like Deepa Mehta, Mira Nair and Hansal Mehta among others have hailed Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Haider' as a must watch.
Infact, Hansal Mehta was so moved that he went on to write an open letter to Bharadwaj elaborating about how he felt after watching the movie. The 'City Lights' director was rendered sleepless by the cinematic journey that 'Haider' put him through. He went on to compare the movie to poetry and also lamented on the absence of Bharadwaj's style of music.

Praises started pouring in since yesterday morning when Irrfan Khan, who plays a pivotal role in the movie, tweeted to express his elation on the movie. His series of tweets registered the excellence of the movie. ‘Haider’ is Bharadwaj’s yet another William Shakespeare adaptation. Based on ‘Hamlet’, ‘Haider’ has an awe-inspiring star cast with power house of talent Irrfan Khan, Tabu, Kay Kay Menon and newbie Shraddha Kapoor.
It remains to be seen whether this love from the filmy counterparts gets transformed to audience’s love. Till then, let the praises pour!
