If you were born between 1982 and 2012 -- ie you are between 12 and 32 years old, you are a Millennial. There are 1.8 billion of you world wide. You are the first digital generation, having access to mobile phones and the Internet for most of your life. And by 2025, you will make up 3/4th of our work force.
Millennials in India according to a study by VMware, the 'virtualization' people, spend at least 20 hours per month on social and 83% even sleep with their phones. 7 out of 8 access the Internet via mobile phone. And they think they work better when not to tie to a 9-to-5 desk routine. Surprisingly large numbers of employers encourage the trend.
If you are a traditional company with old fashioned work ethic, be warned, the Millennials are here!
