Rajahmundry: YSR Congress deputy floor leader in Assembly and district president Jyothula Nehru demanded the government to order a CBI probe into sand mafia.
Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, he said that the sand mafia is widely spreading across the district and exploiting the people as well as the government by mining the sand illegally. He lashed out at the chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and alleged that the CM was betraying the people by not fulfilling his poll promises like complete waiver of agriculture loan and DWCRA loans.
He said that Chandrababu had made breach of trust by going against his own promise of waive the agri-loans completely and had immediately signed the file pertaining to it after assuming the charge.
He demanded that the Chief Minister should seek a public apology for not keeping his word. He warned that people would teach the TD for a befitting lesson if it continues to evade from its responsibility of good governance in the state.
