Telugu Desam to stand by its activists to get rewarded

TD leaders and activists to conduct a massive campaign on the schemes taken up by the state govt
Guntur: Agriculture minister Prattipati Pulla Rao on Sunday asserted that Telugu Desam would always stand by party activists who had relentlessly fought against the Congress and YSR Congress to return the TD to power.
Mr Pulla Rao was speaking at the party’s district-level review meeting held at the party office here, where he said that TD activists had faced many difficulties, including police cases during the elections. He said that the TD would help activists in all possible manners and not forget their services.
The minister appealed to TD leaders and activists to conduct a massive campaign on the schemes taken up by the state government and thus refute allegations being levelled by Congress and YSR Congress.
He said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has been working for development of the state. “The CM has ensured that power cuts are a thing of the past, just 60 days after taking charge. He has also fulfilled the election promises of loan waiver,” Mr Rao said. Promising white ration cards to all those eligible, he said that nearly 4 lakh new beneficiaries will get social security pensions in Guntur district alone.
Social welfare minister R. Kishorebabu said that people’s capital would be established under the Swarnandhra vision of the CM. he appealed to party activists and leaders to work for the success of TD government. MLAs and leaders from 57 mandals of Guntur district participated in the review meeting.
Meanwhile, Minister Palle Raghunadha Reddy on Sunday said that farmers in VGTM-UDA region will themselves come forward to give their land to the government in the near future so that a mega city could be developed.
“As the government has come up with a policy through which farmers would be made partners in development, the farmers are positively responding to this proposal,” he said.
Mr Reddy said that state would be able to provide 5 lakh jobs in IT sector and 4 lakh jobs in electronics sector in the future. “As many as 7,500 jobs would be provided by Wipro and 5,000 jobs by Tech Mahindra in Vizag IT Park,” he said.
