Microsoft staff in city finally meet the man they know only from ‘emails, webcasts’

Hyderabad: It was a fantastic start to the week at the Microsoft office in Hyderabad as hundreds of employees gathered inside ‘Building 3’, to listen to the man they have seen only seen on TV and webcasts, so far.
“Indeed, he’s much more handsome in real life,” a source told Deccan Chronicle.
Nadella began his speech sharp at 8.30 am and the talk went on for an hour, followed by a Q&A session with staff.
Microsoft has placed staff under strict orders, asking hundreds to keep details from the boss’ visit a secret. But sources from the event said the speech was “very inspirational”.
“Nadella is a big advocate of the Cloud, and he repeated his vision of Microsoft moving towards the technology, collectively. He also spoke at length about how he wants to take mobile forward,” a source said.
And staff agreed that Nadella’s visit definitely had impact. “We know him only from TV or official releases. Seeing Nadella in person was very different,” the source added.
The Q&A session had Nadella talking about his early days in Hyderabad and at Microsoft.
This is Satya Nadella’s first visit to the country since he was appointed boss at the company. The Microsoft event comes a day before to his trip to New Delhi, where he will be part of a few events.
