Hyderabad: A trader was robbed off Rs 3.9 lakh at Jambagh late on Saturday night. The criminals followed him while he was returning home with the day’s collection from his shop. He was intercepted and robbed, officials said.
Afzalgunj police said the victim Sanjay Kumar Jain who has an electrical shop at Jambagh was carrying the day’s collection of Rs 3.9 lakh and was returning home to Sultan Bazaar at 11 pm. “The trio intercepted him. When he tried to resist, they assaulted him,” said detective inspector A. Satish.
The men grabbed the cash bag and fled. Based on a complaint, a case of robbery was registered. The police is checking CCTV footage. “We have collected a footage from three cameras. The culprits have not yet been traced,” the inspector said.
