After coming to Vijay’s rescue by buying the audio rights of his upcoming film, Kaththi, it looks like Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin has decided to extend the olive branch to Lingusamy for his upcoming production, Utthama Villain, which features Kamal Haasan. According to close sources, after assuming office at Eros as director of Creative and Strategy, Soundarya who bought Kaththi’s audio when it was in trouble, has bagged the release rights of the Thirrupathi Brothers’ production venture, Utthama Villain. After Lingusamy had a setback with Anjaan, the buzz is that there’s a financial crunch since the Thirrupathi Brothers have a big lineup of projects, including Utthama Villain, which is almost complete, and Rajini Murugan, with Sivakarthikeyan, the shooting of which has just begun.

The news of Eros agreeing to distribute both UV and RM has come as a big relief to the Lingu brothers, the source adds. A production source says that Lingusamy had already initiated talks with Eros even before Soundarya joined the corporate house; however, things have begun materialising only now.  Meanwhile, producer Bose of Thirrupathi Brothers said, “Talks have come to the final stages and both Eros and our production house will be releasing Utthama Villain and Rajini Murugan.”
