Drive to digitise land records

Most of the land records have been already computerized
Kakinada: The Revenue Department has taken up a special drive for upgradation of revenue records by making latest entries. The drive is would be taken up till September 30. Most of the land records have been already computerized, but, the officials have taken up the drive to rectify the ommission and commissions of land transactions and make fresh entries.
“If the lands changes hands, the new land owner should make his fresh entry through Tahasildars. Tahasildars will send the records to the collectorate where the joint collector gives permission for correcting it. This is a software proceeding method. Unless the joint collector approves, the entries would not be made in adangal copies,” said a revenue official. He said that unless the latest entry finds in the adangal copies, the sub-registrar can't be register the lands for new buyers of the land according to the software.
Joint collector R. Muthyala Raju said that the adangal copies and other land record certificates would be issued from the first week of October, after completing the data entries in land records. When he conducted ‘Dial Your Joint Collector' programme on revenue and civil supplies issues, a caller from Pedabra-hmadevam complained th-at the local revenue officials were not giving adangal copies, though he had pass book. Mr Raju said that special drive is being taken up to rectifity the la-nd records and he can take the certificate after the completion of the process.
As many as 29 callers dialed to the JC and requested him for issuing new ration cards, transfer of ration cards , supplying of ration to their cards and other issues related to the lands. Muthyala Raju said that after receiving instructions from the government, the ration cards problems would be solved. He instructed the civil supplies officials to take proper measures for supplying ration to the beneficiaries who are having already ration cards.
A caller from Yeleswaram complained that a gas agency in Samalkot and Peddapuram mandal are giving more troubles for supplying domestic gas and they are releasing the cylinders.
