Mumbai: Parineeti Chopra, who is known to be a bit of a straight talker, seems to be caught in an awkward situation. Recently she made a remark about her cousin Priyanka Chopra’s non-existent love life and how it is the talk of the town.
Sources close to Priyanka have revealed that Parineeti’s words haven’t gone down well with the big sister, and that she called up Pari to ask her to be more careful about making such random remarks. “No one has the right to make statements about someone else’s personal life, no matter the relationship they share.
This is not the first time Parineeti has spoken about PC. They are family and know more about each other than anyone else. But Priyanka is a public figure who has closely guarded her relationship status and one must respect that,” say close sources. It seems the sisters had a talk about this over the weekend.
Priyanka has never hidden her love and affection for her siblings and cousins and she is known to be very protective about them too. “In her interviews, Parineeti’s always heard talking about how she idolises Priyanka. But that doesn’t justify her taking liberties of this kind,” says a source.
This is the first time that the sisters have had an uncomfortable situation to deal with. Perhaps Parineeti really needs to watch her words.
